Studying abroad vs studying in your home country

Nowadays, it's true that more and more students are tend to study abroad for their education. In spite of this fact, some people think that studying abroad doesn't make any difference than is not different to studying in local universities. In my opinion, studying in the interior or abroad should be considered from according to what the students want to accomplish.

Firstly, by studying abroad students are enabled to study subjects that might not be available in their countries. What's more, the students get involved and learn new cultures and ideas, broaden their horizons and make friends around the world. Another important part of studying in a foreign country is that there are many international students doing the same, so in this way the students can discuss and learn many things on their subject by getting in touch with them. To sum up In other words, I think that studying abroad can supply to the students new friends and experiences, better knowledge on the subject they are interested in and also important life experiences.

Although studying abroad could be a great opportunity to visit and live in different places around the world, there are also some important barriers which should be taken into consideration of by all the students who are interested in studying in a foreign country. The most important parameter is the high living cost other countries have. It's difficult to study abroad without spending too much money on house, food , clothes or fees. Furthermore, another serious problem is that the lectures in the other countries are usually given in the native language, so (thus/ hence) the students should be prepared and literate of fluent in the language. (Avoid 'To sum up' in the main body) Therefore, the high living expenses and the language could be a problem to the students who want to study abroad.

In any case, I personally believe that by breaking down the (aforementioned) barriers of living abroad and by learning the topical local language students would have a unique experience and they would also make friends all around the world.

  1. That is another great essay Mr Black, but there were plenty more phrases and suggested words on the book for you to use and achieve an even higher grade! However, this is more than OK. Pass pass pass! :-)

  3. In my opinion, a student should study abroad if he needs to excell in a hogher level than the one provided in his country. In other words a student who wants to study literature for example could study in Greece. But if he wants to improve in a greater level in literature and there are more opportunities abroad then you should go for it and not miss the chance.

  4. In my opinion studying abroad is more usefull than staudying in your home country because at most universities there are better teachers and by far better facilities. Furthermore, by studying abroad you can broaden your minds because you will meet new people and other cultures and languages. Also being abroad for some months or even years is an amazing experience. I strongly believe that if there is an opportunity of studying abroad you must not let it gone.

  5. Studing abroad or in your home country is a very important question for today teens . In my opinion studying in your home country is the best but it also depends from which country are you . If somebody is from a country that it has not the necessary level for the needed knowledge , he should go and study abroad or if he has not got the money . However the best decision is to study in your home country , if you have the money and if your country has the same level of education as the other country , because you have to support your home country.

  6. Nowadays,it's true that studing in my home country is better than going to university in a foreign country. I think that is better because you can live near to your parents and friends. Also, you should support your country in this way. However,I think that you have more opportunities for job by studing abroad.

  7. I believe that studying abroad is better than studying in your home country as you will learn about a civilisation that differs from yours. Also the university that you will get in, may be different than universities in your home country as for the facilities the staff and other things.Another advantage is that you will learn a foreign language and explore the city.

  8. I believe that it is better to study in your home country, because you in both ways you have the same level of education. If you stay near to your home it is better because you do not have to pay so much money for your fees and you also have your family who can support you with your financials.Another thing is that you wont have to lose your friends because you need to go abroad so your life can be much better. For these reasons i prefer studing in my home country rather than going abroad.

  9. Guys, I really liked all of your answers, but try to avoid making BASIC grammatical mistakes, such as studYing, capital I when it is a personal pronoun, depend ON. Also remember: use commas after linking phrases (However, the best decision...) Finally, when you generally refer to people who consider studying in a university, try to use 'they' which includes both men and women, instead of 'he', which is too specific in my opinion.
