The definition of Honesty is the best policy is used to say that telling the truth is better than lying even when it is hard to do. For instance, someone realizes that honesty is the best policy and tells his parents what really happens with his grades at school. However, In my view we all can sometimes tell white lies, if they do not matter to the other person.
