About me

 I'm Melpomeni and I'm 12 years old. I'm an only child and I really like that, because I haven't got anybody to get on my nerves or take my things without permission. I also get on really well with my parents. I'm really interested in psychology because when I leave school Iwould like to gain insight people's minds. I'm keen on singing and writing stories too, but when I grow old I would rather have these two activities as hobbies. I'm really excited about being a member of this blog and I hope you like my writings, too.

THEME PARK

So, I have not been to a theme park since I was 7 years old.In addition, my aunt works in a theme park so I am used to hearing  interesting stories from her about the strangers that visit the park!

1)How do you feel when you've got an exam?

When I've got an exam I usualy feel anxious and nervous but at the same time impatient to take the exam and finish it.

2) Do you want to go to the university?

I want to go to the university because it will be very important in order to achieve my goals and dreams

3)Are you a competitive person?

I don't think I am a very competitive person because most of the time I prefer being calm rather than trying to surpass the others.

4)What characteristics must a good friend have?

In my opinion a good friend has to be helpful loyal and trustworthy.I also think that a good friend has to always be there for you in both good and bad times.

5)Have you ever had a swollen ankle/a bad bruise/a black eye?What happened?

Yes I have had.I once hurt my ankle while I was playing basketball.

6)What do you like doing at the weekends?

At the weekends,I like meeting or going to the cinema with my friends,playing computer games,listening to music,watching movies and series and going for walks.

When I have got an exam I feel emotional.If I have study well I'm very confident about the exam.But when I've not study very well I feel anxious and nervous.

2)Do you want to go to university?

Yes I'd love to go to university.I believe that it is a very good and useful qualification for my future to find a job.

3)Are you a competitive person?

I don't think that I am a competitive person because I'm not always anxious to be better than everyone else.

4)What characteristics must a good friend have?

I think that the most important thing must a friend have is honesty.A good friend must always tells the truth.Also another thing is loyalty.Friends should be loyal and never to squeal their friends.

5)Have you ever had a swollen ankle/a bad bruise/a black eye?What happened?

Yes, I have.While I was playing hopscotch I fell and I broke my right hand.

6)What do you like doing at the weekend?

In my free time at the weekend I like to go jogging and cycling with my best friend.Also I like watching adventure films with my cousin.

Films:

    

To begin with, I do watch films very often. I guess that's because I don't watch much TV. I usually go to the cinema, because the big screen is not in existence in my bedroom. Apart from that, having access to the Internet has helped me download films and watch them whenever I want. I don't have a favourite type of film, but if the plot is interesting, I can't wait to see it! 

Music:

Well, music is an irresistible charm for me.  It is part of my daily life (for example, I listen to music when I walk down the street, or while I'm studying) and it is necessary for me, as it eliminates my anxiety. My favourite sorts are trance, electro and generally dance music. The rhythm is either relaxing, or energetic and as there no lyrics to make it tiring. 

Free time activities:

To be honest, I don't have much free time, because I'm always busy with my handouts. But when I want to switch off , I'd rather spend quality time with my friends. We prefer to walk down town, go shopping and then hang out in a cafeteria. Apart from that, I am fond of reading books; both English and Greek. Reading provides me useful information and especially when historical events are being mentioned.  Moreover, as I have already mentioned, I like listening to music and going to the cinema. I also like playing volleyball and I am a leader of a team (called O.F.I.). 

English:

First and foremost, by mastering English my horizons are broadened, as I obtain inevitable knowledge. Then, it affects positively the way I behave and think and that's why I enjoy studying it. To continue, I definitely believe that it will be useful for me in the future; firstly because I want to become a teacher of English and live abroad and secondly because I want to travel a lot. Not only is English a means of communication, but it is also an important qualification. Taking all these into consideration, the invasion of English in my life is very important.
